     @feld @davidaugust Maher is a member of the WGA. Crossing a picket line to work makes him a strike breaking scab, writers or no writers.

     Not 100% sure about the WGA's guidelines here. But it's unlikely that nothing will be written for this show. Guest intros? Questions? "Funny" takes by Maher?

     Literally, if he prepares anything in advance for these interviews, isn't that writing?

     Maher claims to be a progressive who has had the rest of the movement go too far, but in '16 endorsed Sanders and in '20 endorsed Klobuchar despite the fact that Sanders hasn't really moved politically in 4 years. Maher's not so much a conservative or liberal just a contrarian who wants to be counterproductive turdgurgler.

     @feld @davidaugust @Joe_Hill I understand that. And I suppose it is possible to imagine there will no writing involved.

     But if he prepares any question (or any joke) for that panel discussion in advance, that‘s writing.

     I should not believe that Bill gets a writing credit for ad-hoc panel discussions. The segments that he participates in as a writer are not being aired.
     
     Once his show airs and we see exactly how it was conducted we can revisit this discussion.

     @feld @davidaugust @Joe_Hill Bill Maher is a credited WGA writer on his own writing staff. So, yes, that is what I am trying to say.
