@Murray_N @Sophistifunk we still have 3 really strong malls left in the greater Seattle area. Not in Seattle, because those shops got looted and closed. But the suburban malls are doing OK. It's not like the 90s to when you couldn't find a parking spot during Christmas season, but they stay busy.

I hope he doesn't get rid of it. I'm hoping some experience based business come to the mall to give people another reason to go.

Bellevue Square is still solid, albeit 80% occupied. It’s probably because they’re still locally owned, and decent operators. It amazes me they don’t simply redevelop the parking garages because that land is worth millions! -

The Feral Housewife Redux (TX) (cake@noagendasocial.com)'s status on Sunday, 10-Sep-2023 15:42:31 JST The Feral Housewife Redux (TX) @Sophistifunk @Peaceandprosperity @Murray_N I miss Northgate mall. It was in Seattle, the first fully indoor mall in the US. It had a brutalist Nordstrom, the Toys R Us where Lane Staley used to wander when he was really high, and Excalibur, which was a knife store with a suit of armor. It was a clean, accessible, middle class kind of place. They redeveloped it into a hockey practice arena among other things.
