@giffengrabber Thank you!
A friend already offered and I accepted. I am blessed. ❤️
@clacke Lemme now if you want help with shipping from 🇸🇪
omg omg IKEA has the good one now
*checks hk site*
... but not here. 😔
@gemlog I tried and failed to find an old rant to link to.
Summary: There are something like 17 types of can openers. Most of them are useless, most of them are lethal.
One is simple without moving parts, durable, ergonomic and effective. It can only be found in Sweden, and isn't always easy to find there!
But for the moment it's in IKEA! A friend has offered to ship it as HK IKEA doesn't have it.
@clacke I didn't have one of your hand crafted rants to hand on this subject.
Do go on...
I didn't think much of the ikea one you posted.
But maybe cans themselves are different in hk. I was out fishing last summer and a man from india was staring confused at a tin with a key - I guess those aren't a thing at all over there.

(I know you're a long way from them, but both are excellent.)

Does taking the search out help?
The names are "PRINCE KOGYO ALPS 7 SANTOKU CAN OPENER" and "NOGENT SUPER KIM CAN OPEN" and hopefully there's something enough like a search engine still available for that to work.
