     @stavvers @Ellen @goatsarah Human pubic lice are more closely related to gorilla body lice than they are to human head lice. There’s a whole world of questions there that I know with 99.99% certainty have completely innocent answers, but still 🤭

     @Polypompholyx @stavvers @Ellen @goatsarah I read an interesting thing forever ago about how we could work out when humans started wearing clothes based on the genetic differences between clothes lice and the other 2 human lice species.

     Humans have had crabs and nits for long enough that there are at least *fewer* capital-Q Questions about their closeness to parasites of other primates, mind 😅
