@meowski @lichelordgodfrey @brad @unabomber If we had honest elections, yes, trump would be better, even though he's not very good.

But since there's cheating and the people in charge want the cheating there's no point to voting

@idea_enjoyer @meowski @brad @lichelordgodfrey @unabomber Nope, making our ruling trash blatantly steal elections has its own value, has its own consequences. How well do you think our “Democracy™!!!“ propaganda is being received outside the US today, or in much of the US?

You’re also assuming the foundational situation of 2024 will be the same as 2020 when “Biden” has been speedrunning the 1970s. Compare to the 1980 landslide as I keep saying. And note our system makes it harder to cheat in national elections the more people get pissed and vote for someone or against the establishment.

Also note Plan A pre-election vote cheating failed in both 2016 and 2020. If we have 1980 type conditions, what’s Plan C, declaring martial law??

Also just checked up on sub-variant Eris; as usual you should ignore anything AOC says and of course even more if it’s fake. There’s no sign it’s anything worse except of course being a bit better at transmission, “It’s not the job of a virus to make people deathly ill: it’s the job of a virus to make more virus.” as Derek “Things I Won’t Work With” Lowe put it.

And there’s so much immunity in the population today, vaccine and natural against this unnatural virus it’s just not getting much in the way of additional purchase on people. Biggest problem, which we were warned about based on the four existing at the time endemic coronaviruses which were part of the set that causes “the common cold,” is that neither infection or vaccines reliability produces durable, “sterilizing” immunity for “enough” of the entire population.

Also note until you hear about hospitals starting to get close to or run out of capacity, or of course a lot of deaths, an “uptick” blamed in one account I read on people simply traveling more in the summer is no big deal. And, again, COVID based vote cheating failed in 2020!

@ThatWouldBeTelling @meowski @brad @idea_enjoyer @lichelordgodfrey @unabomber I understand the desire to compromise; I've battled this internally and spoken with friends about it at length. The core question as I see it
      >Is it the lesser of two evils to vote for a man who doesn't represent your interests at all and is only marginally less hostile to you, or is better to protest (either third party, write-in, or abstain) as a way of letting a dying system fail in the hopes of a better replacement?
I don't think there's a universal answer. The stability that "conservatives" want doesn't always come from a place of selfishness, nor does the desire for revolutionary change from the more radical. My children's lives will be objectively worse in the short to intermediate term with another 4 years of Biden, which we will certainly get if all right-wingers decided to flip the bird to the system. They'll also be stuck in a system ruled by oligarchs, serving foreign powers, far longer if a Republican gets into office. It's quite the mess. Ultimately, 'revolution' is still plan trusting even if it's trying to force the system's hands.

@idea_enjoyer @meowski @brad @lichelordgodfrey @unabomber In other words, everything you’re saying and citing about Aristotle and Solzhenitsyn et. al. is pure projection.

At best you’re already defeated but are seeking validation. At worse you’re a willing agent of our enemies; it’s already been established you’re an useful idiot for them.

@BowsacNoodle @ThatWouldBeTelling @meowski @brad @lichelordgodfrey @unabomber We've passed "lesser of two evils" stage. That argument doesn't apply now that elections are openly fraudulent.

Now there's simply no point in voting unless they make it mandatory, in which case you simply vote for the approved candidate and mock the system like a sane person

@idea_enjoyer @ThatWouldBeTelling @meowski @brad @lichelordgodfrey @unabomber I agree on the fraudulent concerns. It's a mess. Truly never thought I'd see it in my lifetime here, but we're turning third world so it is was it is.

@idea_enjoyer @ThatWouldBeTelling @meowski @brad @lichelordgodfrey @unabomber Local elections still matter. There's a big difference between how a person cares or doesn't for their community and who will work to keep bad actors from gaining a foothold.

@BowsacNoodle @ThatWouldBeTelling @meowski @brad @lichelordgodfrey @unabomber There's no concerns my friend. Concern is what you show when something is dangling, about to fall. "maybe it'll live 😬."

After it falls and is dead, there's no concern. It's over, we all go home.

@BowsacNoodle @ThatWouldBeTelling @meowski @brad @lichelordgodfrey @unabomber I'm not outraged anymore. Only when some boomer tells me to vote, but if you don't accept reality (even if you want to change it) you go insane
