     @dcc It's totally possible, but nobody wants to do it right now. FOSS spergs aren't always at fault, but in the case of XMPP and Matrix they absolutely are. Making the software usable to someone without an IT/compsci background is an afterthought after preventing interception of messages and software license Asperger's in these two projects. We'll probably have to start over to fix this, bluntly

     @dcc @theorytoe @atlas_core Yeah, that's rough. Moving everyone to something like Matrix or XMPP is hard - Discord's got the "slow bleed" thing going on, where people are going to get locked out of it over time at a very slow rate.
     
     It sucks for the people who get bled out, but it's not enough people that anyone decides to leave.

     @dcc @theorytoe @atlas_core I happened to come in at the same time as the kiwifarms and Jim crowd, but I actually washed in from discord. I'm here because I got shut away from my friends for no reasons other than "discord wants dox." :dead_inside:
     
     I've got those lines of contact up if they leave discord, and honestly it's in my best interest if discord dies.
