@djsumdog @animeirl this, plus a 2-3 day fast to kickstart it (make sure to get plenty of hydration and electrolites, you lose minerals like crazy while this happens); I have no idea how it worked for me, but I suspect it was a combination of altering metabolism a little and reconfiguring gut flora for extra efficiency

What does your current diet look like, activity level, and foods you enjoy? One of the easiest is "if it fits your macros" basically break you diet down to %protein, %fat, %carbs. This will be based on your current weight, activity level, and goals.
It's definitely not perfect and there are valid criticisms but I think it's a decent starter to get used to eating in moderation with specific goals in mind. I've done it with decent success, bf decreased while lifts went up/stayed the same.
