As someone from Virginia, I have to do the SOL test, and the only computerized way to do it is via TestNav, which is nonfree and literally owned by Pearson.
They claim to have a GNU/Linux version (although it's still nonfree), but it's broken. I had to use a burner Windows VM to get it done. *sigh*
I'm really annoyed by it, and I really want to be able to use free software for it.
And no, doing the physical test is not an option for me.
