     I actually run plasma on debian on my home office cpu, but that's because it's an arm. Arch on arm has never been satisfactory to me. But if it's an x86 desktop plasma on arch or manjaro is my go to. I use manjaro on all my office cpus, but that's mainly because they have a one line chroot if it borks. I'm not there to fix computers.

     I have one more in the living room. One in the formal room. Three more in the upstairs bedrooms. And another four in my studio. I have moca adapters connected to switches at every coax box in the house. Everything is hardwired. I only use wifi for my phone.
     
     I think one of my favorite features is that I've routed pulse audio between all of the devices, so I can send audio from any one device to any other, plus I have an mpd server for music with a separate daemon for each person in my family, so each can route music wherever they want.

     Why do you have so many computers?
     I've got two at laptops home that I use. One is 14 the other is 8 years old. Do you think I can network/connect them? Neither have RJ45s

     You can still network over wifi. It may limit what you can do though, e.g. if you stream audio, it would probably have to be over http.
