      @EmmyNoether @LuvGreenTea2019 “Even before Dobbs, it was perilous to become a mother in rural Mississippi. More than half the counties in the state can be classified as maternity-care deserts, according to a 2023 report from the March of Dimes, meaning there are no birthing facilities or obstetric providers. More than 24% of women in Mississippi have no birthing hospital within a 30-minute drive, compared to the national average of roughly 10%. According to Edney, there are just nine ob-gyns serving a region the larger than the state of Delaware. Every time another ob-gyn retires, Balthrop gets an influx of new patients. “These patients are having to drive further to get the same care, then they’re having to wait longer,” Balthrop says.” 🤬

      @HebrideanHecate @EmmyNoether @LuvGreenTea2019 Be careful with Mississippi, look at the population and the "largest" cities. It is a living example of statistical fallacies used by "public health" experts. Someday, we will use the morons who use Mississippi as exemplars as exemplars of morons being morons who don't understand a damn thing about statistics.

      @LuvGreenTea2019 That poor child - my heart breaks for her.

      And I’m raging at the evil, evil system that has brought this situation into being.

      @EmmyNoether @LuvGreenTea2019 JFC 🤯 🤬 :blob_dizzy_face:

      I am MURDEROUS. Apart from the physical issues with a child giving birth…not even touching on the rape part 🤬…forcing a girl/woman to go through with an unwanted pregnancy causes years of trauma, and it’s hardly good for the child either.

      Absolute bastards. The scrote who raped her needs to die too.

      “Mississippi’s abortion ban is expected to result in thousands of additional births, often to low-income, high-risk mothers. Dr. Daniel Edney, Mississippi’s top health official, tells TIME his department is “actively preparing” for roughly 4,000 additional live births this year alone” 🤬

      America has one of the, if not THE, highest maternal mortality rates in the developed world too…🤬
