Had some people asking why I am posting about this again when I posted it last month.
The reason is the above sites and instances all generate bills every month, which I have to pay.
Also, for some reason almost all donations happen within a day of me posting an appeal for help. If I stop posting monthly appeals the donations stop, but the bills do not.
(And I am a volunteer, I am not being paid by anyone to do these accounts and sites. I have to cover their costs.)

Being on masto.host shouldn't be a barrier to being listed?

@feditips You may be able to help me with something. I run a new-ish server specifically for nonprofits who can't or don't want to set up their own instance. I'm running it through masto.host, so can't commit to some of the things asked for on many listing sites. How's the best way to make sure nonprofits can find the server if they go searching for a place to set up?

@feditips To clarify, it's not the moderation part I can't meet, it's the having more than one person with access to the physical server and the part about backups, since I don't have control over those things. It's one of those things where I saw a problem and created the solution, but needed to minimize how much time I needed to spend on the technical side of it being as I work full time.

Masto.host takes daily backups as part of its hosting plans, so that's not an issue.
The "more than one person with access" doesn't mean the physical server hardware, it just means you need to have more than one person with admin-level access.
(It's basically trying to avoid a situation where an admin disappears and there's no one around to fix problems.)

If you can find someone else to co-admin, you just need to use your existing admin account to create a second account with admin-level access permissions, then give that account to the co-admin.

@feditips Oh! I misread it then, and in that case that should be easy enough to solve. At the moment there's only one account that actually posts so there isn't much need for two admins, but I'm sure I can find someone willing to be a backup just in case. I'll look into that then, and glad to know using masto.host doesn't disqualify the instance. Thank you for that. :)
