So my wife is part of a Facebook community group for local mums. Someone posted asking for advice on childcare solutions. The issue they had is their child had severe reactions to vaccines, so they couldn't get all the ones required. And there are restrictions for childcare access to kids that are not fully vaccinated.
Most of the comments were about how she's a horrible person and endangering everyone for not vaccinating her child.
This never would have happened 5 years ago.

@CatLord @Zerglingman but it's not even skepticism. There's nothing anti vax about it. It's people literally shaming this person for not killing their child by exposing them to a severe allergy.

@Mummabear so my wife said someone suggested a nanny, and the replies were like "no your putting the nanny in DaNgEr!". I told her you should just volunteer. Ex childcare worker, 15 years experience, 3 kids, unvaxxed. She's perfect for the job.

@ned there are two facebooks. In one you’re a monster if your kid has vaccinations, in the other you’re a monster if your kid doesn’t have vaccinations.

Exactly, great idea.
In the UK we have Child Minders. These people have children in their homes, ofall ages. Government registered ect. It's a huge money earner.
Some just take and pick up the children for school and get paid the whole day.
Theres a maximum of children each adult can have.
All the minders gather at the parks ect. It's lovely for the children.

@ned oh crikey. They are everywhere here. People abandon their children early everyday. The nation depends on these Child Minders to get children to and from school and from school during the many holidays.

@ned It did, actually - it's been going on for at least ten years. The demonisation of anti-vaxxers was in place at least before I put my kid in daycare ten years ago...

@rose_myrtle the problem I have in this particular case is the person isn't even anti vax. They are just anti killing their child with a known and proven allergen. And people are so ideologically captured they can't tell the difference.
