When you see or hear a notification from your work email inbox, how does it make you feel?
Just reply with the first word or emotion that comes to mind.

@AdamBishop That's a good honest answer.
@killyourfm Anxious 😅
@MartinH Ohhh, I don't normally hear that response. Nice!
@killyourfm
Curious
@portaloffreedom HAHA, in your work inbox? Yea, mine seems to be accumulating spam too and I have no idea where it's coming from...
@killyourfm ah more spam
@micah @cassidy This seems like a healthy mental health choice :D
@cassidy @killyourfm This. I don't really do realtime email. If you want realtime work communication from me you'll have to use matrix.
@killyourfm surprised!
I typically don’t have notifications on for work email; there is SO MUCH in email that I treat it more like poll versus push; I venture in there at the beginning of the day and occasionally throughout the day, but otherwise I typically won’t see new mail arrive in realtime.
@toad I'm seeing this answer quite a bit, and wasn't expecting it so frequently.
@killyourfm curious
@killyourfm I miss the days when the email client used to say "you've got mail" for every incoming message, bring it back :)
@jahruhn Technically, if you use an app that supports custom audio notifications (like Thunderbird), you can still do that today!
@toad I'm inclined to agree with that!
@killyourfm I wonder if "curiosity" might be the feeling of people who love their job.
@peppe HAHAHA!
@killyourfm what the f.. do they want now?
@killyourfm Hopefully the sender used OpenPGP...
@portaloffreedom @killyourfm Great! I need to cite this one in my next publication. 😄
@killyourfm things are so bad that this exists: https://www.scs.stanford.edu/~dm/home/papers/remove.pdf
@killyourfm in my work email especially, since I've published some scientific paper the amount of spam is abnoxious. Plus I get lots of useless and overwhelming comunications from the university itself.
@forgifuzzbutt we need more funny memes in our inboxes.
@killyourfm How’s about a meme?
