御Nightingalle (nightingalle@shpposter.club)'s status on Saturday, 05-Aug-2023 16:26:44 JST 御Nightingalle I’m deeply saddened by the fact that some Japanese girls think that going to a gyudon or ramen place alone is hazukashii
a bit pathetic- Haelwenn /элвэн/ :triskell: likes this.

Ytrezar (ytrezar@raru.re)'s status on Saturday, 05-Aug-2023 16:28:40 JST Ytrezar @Nightingalle Japan is a place where there is a lot of unspoken rules...
I've been reading a lot of light novel and it always surprise me how they sure take it hard for nothing...Well I guess it's part of the charm

御Nightingalle (nightingalle@shpposter.club)'s status on Saturday, 05-Aug-2023 16:28:41 JST 御Nightingalle @Ytrezar if it’s a general culture thing in Japan to feel embarrassed eating alone then I can completely understand, it’s the part that only girls who feel reserved about it, worried that it might not seem “cute” or “feminine” enough that troubles me -

御Nightingalle (nightingalle@shpposter.club)'s status on Saturday, 05-Aug-2023 16:29:21 JST 御Nightingalle @Ytrezar To me I don’t think it’s part of the charm, and I do think there’s a lot of charm in Japan, but being restricted by non-sense social conventions (especially if gender-specific) isn’t part of it. Being polite and considerate is nice and all though.
I feel like the type of show/art/music from Japan that I admire, are often portraying the opposite of japanese unspoken rules, but rather expressing the vivid resistance and decadence FROM having had enough of those depressing restrictionsHaelwenn /элвэн/ :triskell: likes this. -

To me that's one of the parts of Japanese culture that are meh (probably why I tend to prefer the somewhat delinquent characters in japanese shows). -

御Nightingalle (nightingalle@shpposter.club)'s status on Saturday, 05-Aug-2023 16:36:52 JST 御Nightingalle @lanodan keyword being “just men”
so to me girls are more concerned that they might be judged, if they just waltz in into a street ramen place in such a “non-cute” “masculine” manner? -

御Nightingalle (nightingalle@shpposter.club)'s status on Saturday, 05-Aug-2023 16:43:28 JST 御Nightingalle @lanodan being girly and cute is worthless, holding a can of asahi and yells one more is the real stuff Haelwenn /элвэн/ :triskell: likes this. -

Like some "kusogakis" can be pretty cute in my opinion, and the asahi+yells but still being cute makes me think of "gap moe" stuff.
