@Ytrezar To me I don’t think it’s part of the charm, and I do think there’s a lot of charm in Japan, but being restricted by non-sense social conventions (especially if gender-specific) isn’t part of it. Being polite and considerate is nice and all though.

I feel like the type of show/art/music from Japan that I admire, are often portraying the opposite of japanese unspoken rules, but rather expressing the vivid resistance and decadence FROM having had enough of those depressing restrictions
