     @kaia it's less silly than it looks, it's very hard to put real zoom lenses into flat phones, so if you want to have any kind of range you'll need to put in multiple cameras. You can also do some neat computational tricks to enhance the image in different ways that can be done optically in a real camera but is nearly impossible in a phone.
     
     But of course, it's also because 5 cameras is better on a feature list than 3 cameras....

     @Polychrome @kaia it's a lot better than the megapixel wars that some of the chinese manufacturers are doing, adding more cameras at least gives you usable functionality, more megapixels do pretty much nothing.

     @cell @kaia a dongle that can keep the DAC away from the noisy environment of the phone should generally sound better sound the integrated DACs, at least it should be easier to achieve higher quality. In the end, most people can't even tell 96kb mp3s from CDs, so...
