Summertime for ZeonI was just working with this faggot who’s super into ayuasca, shrooms, and LSD and after having the same boring-ass “….maybe like, we’re ALL god, you know? Even the ants are god, and the plants are god too….” conversation for the 100th time, I started to suspect something:
Those who delve into hallucinogenics rarely have depth of soul. It’s the kind of thing you build via experience, suffering, learning, honing, etc. They’re vacuous searchers, idle hedonists looking for a thrill.
I’ve begun to wonder if they come away from that experience feeling small, tiny, and insignificant not because WE all would, but because they truly ARE insignificant. They’re trespassing in a domain they are not ready for, so they step on the scale only to feel the immense, unfathomable lacking that’s woven itself into their spiritual bones after a lifetime of indolent pleasure-seeking.
I’m half tempted to try it just to see if I feel like them or something else. I have a small, arrogant, transgressive suspision that I would come away feeling more like myself than feeling like a part of “everything”. I’ve just heard the same boring jabber from these people for years, and never ONCE talked to a wise, rooted person with a hard, unyielding concept of self who ventured into the ether and returned. Anyone like that is too smart to go playing around with separating spirit from flesh anyway, so it’s a moot point.
But that’s an interesting idea I’ve been chewing on lately.
