   Apparently the Head Canadian is getting divorced. But how long will Trudeau even be around? I feel like for as long as I've acknowledged Canada as a real place, he's been the Head Canadian. Do y'all have elections or does the King of England mail someone to you?

     @GalacticTurtle @LaylaAlexandrovna Oh no, he was born while his dad was PM and has been coddled ever since. Almost all his shit has been successfully covered up. The alleged relationship with a student, the sexual harassment, the blackface. Can you think of any other politician who would have survived that? His image was carefully curated by 'friends' in the right places long before he entered politics.

I think every time I'm on tour in Canada there will be some anti-Trudeau demonstration like a giant banner being waved over the side of an overpass. So while I've never known the details, I've just gotten the vibe that he's not popular. I even asked our local bus driver once what people were mad about. He just said "too many things to choose from." XD

     @LaylaAlexandrovna I wonder what would happen if a US president got divorced. I feel like in the US it's considered futile to run for a high office if you don't have the perfect family Christmas card. Emphasis on Christmas. XD

     @GalacticTurtle @LaylaAlexandrovna We don't tend to care. Then again, the PM's spouse doesn't have any official duties like your First Lady does. Trudeau's dad was single when first elected and got divorced while in office. I think all the others were married, but I'm not sure.

     @GalacticTurtle He's been PM since 2016 - some kind of record for an asshole like him. People conveniently ignored his statements such as how he admired the 'basic dictatorship' of China and kept voting for him! Also there have been no good alternatives from the other parties. I certainly NEVER voted for him!
     
     And he and his wife haven't lived together in years but he had to keep up the pretense.
