I think every country probably has stereotypical food of other countries that isn't accurate. Also countries are big and food is different all over them. -

the worst hamburger I have ever had in my life was in Japan. I was outraged at what they did to my national food. -

@Moon also "americanized" versions of cuisine are their own distinct cuisines that matter and are important to the immigrants who created them its like these people never watched no reservations

@vriska @Moon Seeing Chinese versions of American cuisine is pretty cool, too. A youtube channel I watch, Chinese Cooking Demystified, sometimes shows some of it. There's stuff like well done steak with ketchup - an American delicacy - and fried spaghetti, which iirc also used ketchup. Tonnes of spam in American dishes, too, even their McDonalds have stuff like spam and oreo burgers. Sexy Moon likes this.
