   Moving into new flat. Tried the hob today for the first time. Smoke started coming out from under it and I could smell burning insulation.

   Discussions with the builder will be had tomorrow.

     Update: builders concur that it’s probably fucked. Nobody wanted to power it up again to check how badly. New one coming next week.
