     @pixelfed @dansup Further to this, just wondering on average how long it takes for a handle to become available after being deleted on another account? (Sorry, me again, back like a bad penny!)

     @leighms @pixelfed @dansup Thanks! My rationale was based on hoping to take advantage of the newly introduced ability to sign in to a Pixelfed account from Mastodon, which is only possible to set up with new accounts. Thankfully, Dan has just clarified. It seems I may be able to just link up the accounts sometime in the future!

     It doesn't.

     This is to prevent identities being repurposed.

     You could try talking to your admin, however it will involve them fiddling with the database directly.

     They may not have the ability or skill to do that.

     Not sure why you want to do this. Whatever it is your admin might have another solution.
