   I really wish the search function in Mastodon was a little more usable. If not mainly just so I can go back and find my own posts about topics to add to them :P

     @denmanrooke It depends on an additional search service run by your host. In my experience it's kinda heavy to run but xoxo.zone has it since our latest server move. It's not uncommon but not universal across Mastodon servers

     Google search usually does the trick easily enough, so I don't know why it can't just be built into the system

     @Homebrewandhacking @denmanrooke Looks like it does third-party authorization rather than directly taking your username/password, which is good. I'm not familiar with the service, though
