   Getting to know the #gnusocial internals was fun. I managed to get composer autoloading (PSR-4), active orm and a cli pysch powered REPL. I think it would be easier to start from scratch than bring gnusocial into the modern php era.

     @selea Its bittersweet for me, I ran a statusnet instance from 2012 to 2017 and wanted to contribute and kind of take over as it seemed the project was languishing.

     I was so close to shipping my SocialHub project a few weeks before I started Pixelfed, it was a GS successor, but looking back I'm glad I didn't because Mastodon, Pleroma and others are doing a damn good job!
