@rher @Dan_Hulson @Eiswald @billy_hughes it was paradox's classical era grand strategy game that they abandoned after patching a few times cuz nobdoy was buying it, it's actually fun and pretty decent it needed more work, now modders taking over hte game to make it good, basicly imperator is what's gonna happen to vic3 sooner or later i think they made a subpar game and tried to fix it after launch with patches by reworking it, then gave up becuase it was costing them more than they made, and instead just made more hoi4 and eu4 expansion packs.

@Zealist @rher @Dan_Hulson @Eiswald @billy_hughes classical era is cool but there have been many games with that theme, I want to see more strategy games in the Napoleonic era through Post-WW1 era. Victoria 2 is great but that game started to show its age lately.

Empire Total War and Napoleon Total War seem to be generally disliked, but I really enjoyed them. Line warfare is pretty cool.

Shogun 2. It is the peak of Total War.
Fall of the Samurai is a good expansion if you prefer something a bit more modern.
Also Master of Strategy is the best Shogun 2 mod.

I didn't like Warhammer TW.
Atilla is okay, I liked the nomadic factions mechanic.
I am mainly butthurt about Troy Total War being a letdown.

@Jens_Rasmussen @MK2boogaloo @rher @Dan_Hulson @Eiswald @billy_hughes the vic3 defenders have decided to call vic2 a bad game like vic2 being a bad game, justifies vic3 being a fucking travesty, i don't like the econ game of vic3, id on't like fighting wars in vic3, politics is a joke in vic3, it's like every single layer of that agme, is just not interesting, but yea it's better than a decade old game considered a beloved classic, it's like "hey why'd you even make vic3 if you didn't want to cater to people who liked vic2? idiots"
