@Xeraser@gucciloafers@EdBoatConnoisseur@locagainstwall@rlier23 what's funny about that comic is it's completely ass backwards, everyone and their mom knows why nato exists, and that it has basicly been surrounding russia for decades despite it not being hte soviet union for decades, it's just geopolitics as it's always been, great powers trying to keep other great powers from eclipsing them, the great game etc. but jews i dunno
@Xeraser@EdBoatConnoisseur@locagainstwall@rlier23 The actual retranslation with the ingame map and save files just gives better hints but there was a hack before that where the people in towns just told you what to do. Original English version was retarded and I can't even remember how I figured it out as a 6 year old.
@locagainstwall@rlier23 2's official translation is pretty bad, it's not that bad of a game but the shit translation really drags it down. Two retranslations exist, one done by a shitlib and the other is from a half finn half kike so I haven't touched either. It's a short game so an official Varis retranslation would be cool.
@Xeraser@locagainstwall@rlier23 Worth mentioning about castlevania 2 is that the villagers lie to you and in the original there was a good hint about it that got butchered in the translation.
@rlier23 Yeah, nearly all early Castlevanias are the linear type except for 2, which was like the later ones, a Metroidvania. Truly ahead of its time :cultured:
To be honest the problem with it is that some parts are just so cryptic, I'd have never found out what to without looking it up. I read somewhere that a lot got lost during translation (wouldn't be surprised if true) which made it a lot more confusing than intended but I can't say for sure because back then I only played it in English. Maybe I should replay it in Japanese now that that's not a problem anymore :zt_think:
