I'm exactly the same. I will run myself into the ground overtraining. I have to force myself to rest. It's really hard.

Yeah, I really need to focus more on strength training. I do a lot of running and cycling, but I definitely slack off on the strength side.
Strength + running 5 times a week seems like a pretty good regimen.

@kindafarming Running on legs days is definitely a challenge 😂
I try to balance strength and cardio. I used to just run 6-7 miles a day years ago, but, wore myself down too often and had a hard time recovering.
I have a problem. I push myself too hard to do more faster, longer, better and just end up hurting myself. My wife plays my conscience in this scenario and tells me when I’m pushing myself too hard and I’ve learned to set some limits on training to keep me from killing my self.

Depends on the day. HIIT workouts are usually 30 minute workouts and we end up with 3.5-4 miles. Our longer interval run is 45 minutes, and then we usually do a slower Sunday long run for 7-9 miles.

@kindafarming Ah, that’s awesome. I lift weights every day and run 3 miles after and only workout Monday through Friday.

How long in distance or minutes do you all run?
