@InceptionState @Wormwood i don't play fps at all, or competitive games multiplayer or games much at all in general, in fact my computer is now basicly overbuilt cuz i abrely useit for anything other than browsing most of the time.

@Zealist @Wormwood It's honestly pretty good now, I deleted my Windows partition a while back and haven't really missed it. It can be a bit tricky for niche use cases though, like streamer setups with OBS or running particular games that use anticheat that deliberately break Wine. So if you're really into competitive FPS or something, you might be stuck with Windows for a while yet.

Manjaro Plasma is a good starter distribution.

@Zealist @InceptionState @Wormwood You'll barely notice a difference then. As long as you stick to one of the simpler distros like Linux Mint or Ubuntu.

That what I run on my Rock 5b. Three monitors. I use it for my home office.

@verita84 @Humpleupagus @InceptionState @Wormwood @Zealist I don't have a lot of experience with Plasma or Manjaro but I've heard good things.

@Humpleupagus @verita84 @InceptionState @Wormwood @Zealist I use Mint for developing and playing vidya and DRM aside, I haven't had any serious compatibility problems in years. I used to dual but then I stopped because last time I was using Windows they pushed an "update" that broke the File Explorer and caused my file system to delete some files and start throwing errors and that was the last time I used Windows.

I use Mate on less powerful SBCs when I need a windows manager. Plasma is my goto otherwise, especially on any x64 cpu.

Manjaro Plasma isn't bad. Plus, you get an arch compatible install from a graphical installer, which makes it easy.

@Humpleupagus @InceptionState @Wormwood @Zealist @verita84 Interesting. I might try Manjaro or Plasma when I build a new PC.
