     @dentangle I mean it could be because the Fediverse is opposed to interacting with Google in any way.

     I think folks need to remember that for a lot of people, Android devices tend to be cheap consumer electronics. Which are available where they live. Any accessibility improvements would benefit folks with accessible needs.

     Especially as more public service access applications are rolled out.

     So any scheme to help #accessibility regardless of who does it is a good thing.
