   “McKinsey claimed that the Metaverse would bring businesses $5 trillion in value. Citi valued it at no less than $13 trillion.

   “Insider revealed that Decentraland, arguably the largest and most relevant Metaverse platform, had only 38 active daily users. The Guardian reported that the monetized content ecosystem in Meta’s flagship product Horizon Worlds produced no more than $470 in revenue globally.”

     Totally. I truly do not understand why anybody gives McKinsey’s prognostications the time of day.

     I mean, I do: executives are, by and large, fear-driven people, caught between the fear of change and the fear of missing out, and desperate for the kind of false certainty a McKinsey whitepaper provides. But…you’d think…with the track record…
