   I'm going camping for the first time tomorrow and I'm super nervous. I'm not an outdoors person. I'm not equipped for such a thing. I'm afraid I'm going to be miserable and drag the rest of the group down. I don't know what to expect.

     They’ve invited you because you’re a cool person, so just be yourself and enjoy the adventure. You’ll probably be dirty and uncomfortable, but try not to whine about it. You can always shower when you get home 😀 @gabek

     @Gabe Kangas I'd totally be like that. aining in, sleeping bag too thin, hard surface underneath, building tent up in the dark... all that stuff is next to absolutely non-phantastic!.

     @darnell As far as I know it's not hardcore at all and most things will be taken care of. But I still feel like I'm going to be out of my element!

     @gabek Whaaatttt‽!!!!! Well, is the camping trip hardcore (where you have to hunt for your own food) or normal (you bring food to eat & maybe hike on trails)‽

     @gabek being miserable while being outdoors is imo a bit of an attitude thing. If you see the entire thing as an adventure where you’re spending time in nature and relying less on all the comforts of modern life, I find it can be extremely fun. Focussing on the things you usually cannot do (having breakfast in the wide open air) also works good for me. Let it come over you, I hope you have fun!
