@Stellar@shibao Wasn't the problem with gas stoves that it's unhealthy for people? Aren't the biproducts caused by the flame in a closed environment the problem for peoples heath?
Was I misinformed? It seemed sensible if that's the reason. If the environment is the reason then that's another psyop to divert our attention from environmental problems caused by big business
@bot@shibao@Stellar from what i've seen it's more of a long term issue. A lead type situation. If that is the point then I see the point as it is unwilling danger with no knowledge of that fact. It's not like they try to ban things people know for a fact it's unhealthy and don't care. (Cigarettes, alcohol) Same reason why the usage of lead was restricted, it would make sense despite being annoying.
If it is about the climate then lol lmao.
Climate is often used as an excuse like "do it for the children" or "the hecking terrorists". Just a way to control the populace.
It’s definitely a bs “environment” thing using health as a justification, which the media was happy to parrot and shriek about in unison to manipulate the public.
My point is that sun exposure is also a long term cumulative health concern, but this is so petty and stupid that it’s obviously not about public health.
You can’t control gas like electricity. You seen the new cars in China? You have to scan a QR code with your phone to turn it on after a social credit score check. Someone has to come to your house to shutoff LNG or if you have a tank you can even black market.
I see you either don’t own a house on LNG or just don’t understand logistics and how hook ups and tanks work. For these systems to work well you need it to be controlled by relays.
It’s not an odd take it’s the non-bullshit reason. You have pols in the UK telling people to disable their AIrCon. It’s about living in the pods and lowering the standard of living. Also if you didn’t know this affects particular people more than others as some cuisines are hard to cook on electricity. There is no reason to nationally ban an entire category of fuel.
@thendrix@shibao@Stellar No I don't own a house. How should I in this economy where governments all over the world try to prevent people from buying houses at all costs.
I am not educated on how the trading of gas works and by all rights it seems to make sense to me that it would be very easy to control by the government compared to wood.
@thendrix@shibao@Stellar odd take tbh. How can you not control gas. Wood of course, any citizen can get wood but how can any citizen find easy access to gas.
I was not aware gas is an easy resource to access and hard to restrict and I am glad I learned something new.
Wood, food, concrete, water, those are materials the average joe (in this case, I) would be aware are easy to access and near unrestrictable as they can be made by independent persons.
I do not have personal experience with gas. Thank you for the information. There is no reason to be insulting about it but I thank you regardless.
Well, that’s why they don’t teach children anything so they can be. We have a bubble generation that’s going to doom this nation and it’s intentional. Us older folks saw this coming and spoke out did community work and even gave money, but best we could do is move to another state in the end. :shrugz:
We tried… but numbers – and political machines – win those games. Hope most of you guys make it and figure it out on your own. Cities are going to fall first. :shrugz:
@thendrix@Stellar@shibao Besides that I do not in any way agree with the banning of gas stoves. I am on your side. Just because I was unsure about the validity of something you said it doesn't mean I am against what you've said. Stop attacking your own.
You see that steel frame “craftsman for modern audiences” I tagged for you? You could take that idea, but do a timber frame or steel frame of your own with some friends.
