so with rarbg shut down what's the next best place to get stuff? 733tx or however you spell that? I generally don't want a place with user uploads
-

How about just paying for the media you enjoy?

@RustyCrab zero posted a rarbg mirror not too long ago. In any case you should embrace rutracker or perish

Weird that you voluntarily consume content from ppl that supposedly hate you. You’d think you would totally avoid it being so principled and noble.
-

@sneeden @bot these companies hate me and fund my enemies. Simple as.

@bot @RustyCrab I agree with Gabe Newell's take on piracy. It's mostly a service problem. As long as these services are fragmented garbage that disallow you to own what you buy, piracy is a better choice.

You can buy music and movies with Apple and it’s just yours, plus they even upgrade it to higher quality versions.
-
Embed this notice
You can just listen to music for free on yt or whatever, but you should support artists you like. For movies, I feel like the $5 or whatever is an acceptable risk since you get previews.

@bot @RustyCrab @sneeden What if I don't enjoy anything

@bot @book @RustyCrab @sneeden counterpoint: no

That’s immoral.
-

Because it allows artists to support themselves and continue making music you enjoy, and also ppl should be rewarded for producing good things.

Of course, that’s just how it works even with physical copies. I mean, if you’re actually banned (let’s get real) or even if Apple were to go under, then I’d say you’re morally justified in pirating it since you legitimately paid for it.
-

@bot @RustyCrab afaik, apple (and others) simply grants users a license to consume the content on their services, you don't actually own anything.
I remember a story of an Itunes user who lost his entire library after getting banned. This could've changed since then, but I doubt it.

@bot @book @RustyCrab @sneeden I am not.

I don’t see the issue with supporting artists you like then.

Ok, let's say hypothetically I am trying to decide how to spend my time one evening. I decide I either want to watch a movie I haven't seen, or play a game I already own.
There aren't any good movies I want to pay for available, but there are some stupid libtard movies I'd enjoy watching to make fun of. I have three options:
Buy the libtard movie, giving money to evil libtards, and have a good time watching it critically.
Pirate the libtard movie, not giving money to evil libtards, and have a good time watching it critically.
Play a game I already own, not giving money to evil libtards, and have an alright time.
Is the first option more moral than the second? Is the third option the only right option even though the only material difference between it and the second option is how much I enjoy myself?

Option 4: go to the library and borrow a copy.
-
Embed this notice
Erm, yes? It’s still a license, and I already said you’re probably morally entitled to pirate it if you’re banned or whatever.

@bot @RustyCrab > Of course, that’s just how it works even with physical copies.
Erm, no?
If I have a physical copy of something, the only way you can take it away is by force.

I’m js that there always seems to be a million excuses to enjoy entertainment that other ppl spent their time and resources without compensating them. If it’s a libtard movie, or muh copyright law I don’t like, or muh corporations and jews, then have some principles and completely boycott it.
Of course ppl wont tho, it’s just endless copes about how they’re entitled to other ppls work for free.
-

What if there's no copies because it's a newer movie.
I'm not trying to justify immoral behavior btw, I'm trying to understand your perspective and why you see things the way you do.
