@Zealist The squash and strawberries are looking great!
Isn't it a little late for sugar snap peas, though? I guess maybe not depending on where you live, but they really tend to hate hot weather.

@victor never grew much of anything in my life except germinating fruit trees out of seeds from shit i bought and ate, and i gave them to my mom when they got established and she killed them in winter by forgetting to bring them inside, i had a 5 foot tall tangerine tree, i dunno why we were even bothering cuz it was gonna eventually get too big to hae in a pot lol

@Zealist Nothing wrong with a little experimentation! It's really the best way to learn. I've started tons of things that I was pretty sure would die but actually did pretty well and vice versa. Maybe the peas will do well in shade.

@Zealist Same here, I didn't grow up gardening or growing anything but have been learning tons and tons about it lately. It's fascinating to go out and see all the plants at different stages. Unfortunately it has also caused me to become a little disillusioned with sitting in front of a computer all day for work.

@Zealist @victor I've seen people bonsai lemon and other citrus tees and keep them in wheeled pots. Even going into an attached garage is supposedly fine during winter. A small heater pad wrapped around the pot or electric blanket maybe for cold weather? Idk would be fun to try.

@Zealist Nice! I haven't done beets myself but know others who have. The leaves alone are really nutritious once they get going. Great for smoothies.

@Zealist You might also look into kale (if you like the taste, not everyone does). Kale really does well in summer heat.
