So it seems a sure thing that Apollo, Sync and RIS - three of the most popular 3rd party #Reddit apps for iOS and Android are all shutting down by EOM. I was there for the great Digg Implosion / Migration, but honestly no idea where things are going to land from here? #fediverse federated solutions seem ideal, but #lemmy last I checked had servers with double digit numbers of members... Were do y'all plan on link aggregating?
I'm dissapointed to hear your feedback on Lemmy after all the buzz about it. I was going to dabble in self-hosting a federated version for a play, and It looks like ill look at/go down the kbin route now.
I'm honestly a little tired of having to vet our devs political views before self hosting and want to buck the trend of making *everything* political/opinionated, but I cant ignore genocide denial (or tankie honestly)
@feditips@zyz Can I ask a question that may reveal my fundamental not-quite-understanding of the fediverse? When you say they're "Fediverse compatible" does that mean that on kbin.social/.pub I'll be able to see the same conversations/link aggregations going on in Lemmy?
