@goatsarah@Cassandra Now I think on it, there’s nothing in my house that says what the water temperature is.No, wait, the water heater has a dial with temps on it, but no idea what the actual temp is.
We get about that many days of sun but a lot of them are cold in the winter, with snow mixed in. We burn natural gas for heat and hot water. It’s like we live in the 19th century.
@goatsarah@Cassandra I’m in Colorado so we’re closer to the sun, too 😆. There’s a lot of photovoltaic stuff around here, but we also get a lot of hail, especially this time of year. We’ve had to replace our roof twice in 10 years.
@goatsarah@Cassandra We haven't ever seen this where I live but some areas of the state have had hail the size of a baseball, which in real-world dimensions is about 73-75mm in diameter. That will seriously damage cars, buildings, trees, plants. and people. Especially because they're falling pretty quickly, although I don't really know how fast. A couple years ago there was a shopping mall that was closed for over a year while they repaired hail damage to the buildings.
