I know it’s wild but Apple isn’t perfect and sometimes does what the German proverb refers to as “Griff ins Klo” (grabbing something from the toilet bowl).
Time will tell!

@thomasfuchs I do wonder if people have ever accidentally treated that mac pro as a trashcan. 🤔
@hedders among other things they were the first company to make optical sensors standard (on the Pro mouse that followed the puck iirc).
I think their mice are fine, but I prefer a slightly different shape and faste tracking, I normally use non-ridiculous gaming mice because of that.
@thomasfuchs Has Apple ever made a good mouse? I say this with a great deal of love for the Macintosh, but seriously ... Apple mice are just hot garbage.
@hedders The Microsoft mouse wasn’t the first one (they were sold since the 80s), but I said “standard” (as in comes bundled with computers sold).
@thomasfuchs I'm fairly certain the first commercially sold optical mouse was the Microsoft IntelliMouse. The Apple Pro mouse was somewhat later. I actually had a Pro mouse which came with one of my Macs. It was ... ungreat. I quickly replaced it with a Microsoft mouse. These days I tend to do much the same as you, and go for non-silly gaming mice. A Logitech G903 in my case.
@thomasfuchs i for one think the puck mouse is cool
@chrisisgr8 it looks cool but it’s barely useable, you never know if you have your hand on the right way
