   Email address, xmpp address and activity pub id looks the same (username@domain.tld) then why isn't there a software that handles all of it at once.
   
   It doesn't need to have multiple users as managing them might be difficult.
   Like it would solve the fedi not having encrypted dm issue. Just email using pgp or xmpp using omemo

     @colinsmatt11 From the top of my head:
     - It ships with EME support, which is only used for installing proprietary malware that implements digital handcuffs.
     - It recommends a proprietary plugin for "Exchange Web Services" support - only mentioning that the plugin is "paid".
     - I'm pretty sure other proprietary plugins are implemented.
     - Mozilla stuff seems to always have trademark issues - although in most cases changing the name fixes the problem
     
     @sallyNULL There is a free EWS plugin for Thunderbird, but it doesn't work with newer versions.
     Evolution seems to be able to do everything thunderbird can, except better and it seems to be actually free.
     Too bad it executes proprietary JavaScript for logins if you click to login to EWS (but that's sadly unavoidable).

     Nonfree components like Linux, also it's the only email client (that isn't completely proprietary) that has implemented non-IMAP/SMTP standard email support for FAGMAN email substitutes which is questionable, specially considering the influence it has.
     
     I can bet @Suiseiseki can further elaborate.

     Which is funny considering it's a whole fucking web browser with an email client shoved into it (which is why i avoid it on top of it being nonfree, don't like wasting storage for just an email client), it should be able to handle fedi.

     Thunderbird, that shit can handle email and XMPP at the same time, the drawback is that it's Mozilla and nonfree.
