Dear @element, are you aware of anything recent that would cause the Flatpak to constantly crash? This is painful...

Might be wrong, but I don't think the Flatpak has been packaged by Element.
There's a Snap too.
But I think the .deb is the officially sanctioned package. Has been working flawlessly for me.
I don't know whether you are on Wayland though... Seems there's only preliminary support for Wayland.

Jason Evangelho (killyourfm@layer8.space)'s status on Monday, 22-May-2023 21:15:15 JST Jason Evangelho @AdamBishop @element that’s welcome advice. And a situation I should be more aware of since Thunderbird falls under that community packaging situation (though not for much longer)

Adam Bishop (adambishop@floss.social)'s status on Monday, 22-May-2023 21:15:16 JST Adam Bishop @killyourfm @element Of course not all, but many big name Flatpaks are packaged and maintained (or sometimes not so maintained) by the community, and not directly packaged by the developer. I even tried to package a few apps myself, but made a few mistakes in my .yaml! I think it is wise in general to check directly on the developer's website, and first install the way they would suggest if possible.

Frank Kumro (frigidcode@genserver.social)'s status on Monday, 22-May-2023 22:11:42 JST Frank Kumro @killyourfm @element I was having issues with the Flatpak element application crashing. Element doesn't control the Flatpak version and once I switched to the official release (deb), all my issues went away.
