   The "Wicker Man" walk never fails to provide a surprise. On to-day's #DogWalk we found what looks to be a small cow's horn.

   This was surprising for a couple of reasons. Most cattle here have their horns removed when they are young. Honourable exception to this convention is for Highland Cattle. Secondly, the nearest cattle are about three miles away. The horn could have been carried here by a fox, but, I would wonder why. Yet another mystery.

   Horn is 25cm tip to base.

     @walfischbucht In Swedish he's "Hagbard Handfaste", Hagbard Steadyhand, I guess they really wanted the alliteration.

     I know him. In English (American) he is known as Hägar the Horrible.

     You are right, it is "the Horrible". :blobfoxfacepalm:

     And it's "Hägar der Schreckliche" in German.

     Ah, easy.

     Do you know the comic "Hägar the Viking"?

     In one strip Hägar's wive Helga tells their son Hamlet to never lie, as that causes the horns to fall off a vikings helmet (yes, they got horned helmets in that comic).

     Hägar passes by and Helga asks him a question, which he answers, causing -one- of the horns from his helmet to fall off.

     After that, she turns to Hamlet and says:

     " See? A half truth."

     Lucky Eddie is tur-Ture (lucky Ture), so they gained an alliteration over the original. =)

     My favourite Hägar cartoon is where someone asks him what is the horrible smell. He replies, "it is Helga burning water again". 😃
