     I am on both. Eugen got me here with his philosophy. I stuck and expanded because I can. The only limits one has here are the ones we impose upon ourselves. This is how healthy communities should function. I have also recently joined Calckey because why not?!

     @feditips @Gargron @stux I’m happy with the instance I signed up for my only problem is I have to talk about it on podcasts and say “M S T D N dot Social, that’s Mastodon with no vowels”

     A small Fediverse server costs about US$10 a month to run, including a managed hosting service that does all the techy stuff for you.

     If it is important to you to run your own server, it is possible.

     If you want to control your own server but you don't want to pay for it, then you will have problems because they cost money to run.

     am I the only one who finds it wierd that the fediverse is, I thought, perhaps wrongly, about freedom, yet servers are owned by one person who has total complete power ?
