     @Sujiyan Well, unfortunately english is much more difficult to learn for japanese people than for example european countries.

     @Sujiyan@mstdn.jp That’s what Google Translate is for! 👍🏾 I usually copy, select & translate within the MissRirica app, but it would be cool if there was an auto translate feature within the app. Similar to what @ivory@tapbots.social has with Mastodon.
     
     I wonder if I can submit a premium feature request to @fruitriin@misskey.io about this‽ Hmm..

     @luftlesen I don’t think language is the problem - but the idea of being a citizen of a single state such as Japan or US - or a citizen of the global society / cyber space.
     And as u said it’s easier for European to realize we belong to not only one state.

     @luftlesen @Sujiyan not really as difficult as learning Japanese itself. English isn't as high context as Japanese.

     The main problem is that the Japanese tend to learn English for the express purpose of passing entrance exams, rather than as a second language. They can be good in English if they're employed in certain positions where English language proficiency is a job requirement.

     If 渋谷果歩 can do it, other native Japanese can also do it.
