@Twoinchdestroya eventually i need to go back and panel my older stuff, since i got these acrylics inks in grey and black, panel lining became really easy, cuz the ink is obviously better than my home made lol
@Twoinchdestroya i'mf ully aware it's prolly not the best thing ever, but it seems to have ok reviews, and prolly eventually will buy something else nicer BUT you gotta get your foot int he door and learn, and i don't want a insane setup with a steep price tag unless i know what i'm even doing with it in the first place.
@Zealist@Twoinchdestroya biggest learning curve I found was figuring out the right amount of thinning so you don't clog it, especially with .2mm. it's just like any skill, practice until you get good.
@chud@EssentialUtinsil@Twoinchdestroya yea all my stuff has been brush painted, i'm holding off on painting anything else for the time being till i get the air brush next week
@EssentialUtinsil@chud@Twoinchdestroya i dont' mind brushing, but i feel like i'd get better more consistant results just priming and base coating with an air brush, then doing panel lining and dry brushing with my actually kinda large collection of various brushes in various materials.
@Zealist@chud@Twoinchdestroya I prefer brush painting, I just like the quickness and smoothness of it for basecoats especially. When I was playing in 40k tournaments, I airbrushed a lot just to get stuff finished.
@EssentialUtinsil@chud@Twoinchdestroya i'm actually not JUST a gundam model builder, but hte couple ship models i've started i just kidna put on hold for a while cuz i was annoyed with rigging them.
@EssentialUtinsil@chud@Twoinchdestroya well, lol, i live in a house that has an oxygen concetrator going 24/7 i'm used to a background hum at this point.
@Zealist@chud@Twoinchdestroya I'd probably enjoy the airbrush more if I had a quiet compressor lol. Painting is something I do for relaxation and it's just not that peaceful to have a loud ass compressor kicking on every other minute.
