   I don't suddenly hate everyone, but I also lost track of who I was and wasn't following, and who I have conversations with on here.

   So I'll be following you again when we speak on here.

   I am preparing to shut down my personal instance of Mastodon and move it to social.coop in the coming months.

     @noam @mattl I've avoided setting up an instance precisely because self-SRE work is *work* and not fun. It's difficult enough self-administering my home network; I don't need to amplify my headaches by putting something on the internet.

     @mattl I ran a personal instance for a bit. It was more trouble than it was worth -- being an SRE for your own service just isn't fun, and some of the locality-based features of Mastodon aren't as good with a personal instance.
