I just woke up from a vivid nightmare about attending an #Ubuntu conference.
No one liked my #coffee.
They said it was too strong, too bitter. I tried explaining its quality, its origins, and why it was a terrific blend, but I lacked the vocabulary to do it. I couldn't convince them.
It was terrible.
(I don't know why this was set at an Ubuntu conference, but it was an awesome, bonding, beautiful event in my head).

@killyourfm It's a metaphor for Linux. Nobody cares that you spent money supporting an impoverished developer, and hand-compiled the artisanal, bespoke packages. They don't like it.

@baldpolnareffart Can you define that? If we're defining it the same way, that's probably all I'm into.
IMO, by the time typical coffee hits a grocery store shelf, it's already stale.

@baldpolnareffart This is exactly me. I buy either from Teneo, Cogito, or Kavantura here in Zagreb. All specialty roasters who have absolutely incredible blends and regional offerings.

@killyourfm I think there's a definition based on a well determined score, it's considered specialty if it's >=80/100, but in practical terms, coffee you buy in a grocery store is just not coffee, I buy directly from specialty coffee roasters that ship their product immediately after roasting, grind it myself and brew it
