     @richlitt That's a perfectly reasonable question. I don't know if there's a design-oriented instance, that could be cool if there is one.

     I would have said fosstodon, but then some instances have blocked them for having one too many sealion-type hackers.

     I still follow people on fosstodon and my admin doesn't block them, but these days probably the instance @erioldoesdesign is on, hachyderm.io, is better and friendlier, so has more reach.

     @clacke Hachyderm has some a-holes on it also. If they haven't been "fortunate" enough to get on #Fediblock yet, they're on their way.
