   I want to start sharing some videos of my drumming adventures (and other random acts of music), but I don't really want them on that public cesspool of toxicity known as YouTube.

   I don't NEED them publicly discoverable. I just want to share them with my friends.

   Is #Peertube the right choice, or something else?

     @killyourfm peertube is pretty good for this, yeah! I also upload things directly to archive.org too sometimes.

     @killyourfm If you just want to share, any cloud hosting can create a public link for it this days.

     I believe peertube would be nice for people to follow and get notified every new video. Don't really know if there's an "aprove followers" and "followers only" feature in peertube so your channel not to be public searchable, but I'd say give it a try.

     Regarding music-focused PeerTube instances, there are a few but none of them give me that warm fuzzy feeling that TILVids does ;-)

     If you check the "About" section, you'll see that "Music" is one of the tags shown.

     Yeah, we're super happy to be able to host the Thunderbird videos on the site!

     As for music content, I typically discourage it, since it falls out of scope from our edutainment mission on #tilvids Not that I have anything wrong at all with music (drummers of the world unite @killyourfm !)

     I really want to start other #peertube instances up for other types of communities, but I can barely manage the one as it is. Too many hobbies...
