     @hecate it's weird; I really associate the hat with Turkey, Greece, Eastern Europe, Russia, but I guess the origin is farther east. Live and learn!

     @evan YES, thank you! I knew it reminded me vaguely of Brezhnev but I thought it was west of Anatolia, not extended Central Asia. Thanks a bunch :)
