     @dalias If your instance gets defederated because of the actions of an organization with the resources to stand up another instance immediately, you have no leverage and your organization's position in the network is an externalized risk.

     @mhoye This complaint makes no sense and is completely reversing the power dynamic. If a company puts their social media presence on a community run instance, they're putting themselves at mercy of our moderation. They could be suspended, and suffer significant material loss, for acts of harm deemed worthy of suspension.

     @mhoye The EU already has their own instance, and governments in general should run their own instance as a way of verifying that they are genuine government accounts.
