   I want to host a single person fediverse instance. What's the best software to use? These are my requisites:

   * Compatible with Mastodon's API (I want to use native clients)
   * Lightweight, the lesser features the better
   * Usable without web frontend
   * Software is mature enough

   I've scrolled through all the options in https://fediverse.party and the closest I could find is GoToSocial but it seems to include tons of features I'll never use.

   Do you have any other recommendation? Boosts welcome.

     I also noticed "micropub" while browsing : https://docs.microblog.pub/

     And by searching "single user activitypub", I found this : https://github.com/toddsundsted/ktistec

     I didn’t try any, but I am very much enthusiast for Epicyon.

     I don’t know about other frontends, I think you would need to read the docs or ask maintainers if it’s possible to bind other existing frontends.

     Good suggestions. Dunno about masto compat, but @gotosocial might tick your boxes.

     Umm, I don't know how I get a non-404 direct link to that toot from masto UI, or at all. But it said:

     @xarvos @humanetech @r3vlibre yeah, I'm seeing that it isn't mature yet. I'm testing other niche options but if nothing works I might just go with Pleroma.
