@PodunkPotato @scenesbycolleen @ai @hidden @not_br549 I take various B vitamins and B6 makes my piss fluoresce lol. I took two the other day and it was extreme. Kind of want to take 5 and see what it looks like

May sound odd, but the quick test would be urine color. You'll know.

Nicotinic acid (niacin) by itself is an anti-vitamin. It interferes with the activity of nicotinamide (B3) in your metabolic pathways. Your liver has to aminate (attach ammonia) to it to make the amide. Until your liver does this task, you have the flush from a temporary acute shortage of nicotinamide.
B6 is good for circulation, if you are low on it -- accompany it with some magnesium.. If you are not low on it (eating enough veggies), it doesn't make much difference. Also, remember to get up and move around. And stay hydrated -- I always forget those things.
But it's best if the B complex vitamins are present in approximately correct ratios to one another -- B1, B2, B3, B6.. I don't know the optimal ratios from memory, but a large excess of one tends to cause symptoms of shortages in the others.

@not_br549 @ai @hidden also yes/ check to
> with magnesium
> stay hydrated
> move around more
tbf, I'm probably not eating as many veggies as I should be.
(and I'm sure you're right that the ratios of B vitamins I was taking was probably not correct either)

@hidden @ai I'm not entirely sure it helped much, but I didn't take it for very long so I'm not sure. Even a half-dose didn't stop the flushing so maybe I didn't need more vitamin B or it still wasn't the right dose for me.
Trying to get better health in general, and also because I am a freezylady and "might improve circulation" was a nice incentive.

@hidden @ai took a niacin supplement for maybe a month
flushing from niacin is... fun?
it didn't happen for a week or so but then...
first my ears feel like they're on fire
then my face
wow my face is lobster red holy cow
why is my neck itchy
my arms my elbows my chest AHH AHH
FIRE FIRE EVERYTHING IS FIRE
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH
:cryingcat:
but uh, yeah, might improve circulation?
I was certainly warmer the times I flushed
sometimes it was just my ears, sometimes the ears were just the beginning
(it doesn't actually last long but if you're not expecting it HOO BOY is it weird)

@scenesbycolleen @ai Yeah I hear a lot of people go to the hospital cuz they get so worried about it lol
Did it actually help you feel better though? Why were you taking it?
